Improve Carter BBD 2 barrel idle

As a carburetor ages the throttle shaft and casting wear enough to let air leak into the manifold without passing thru the carb air fuel control sections. The result can be an inconsistent idle and hesitation on acceleration. If you need to improve Carter BBD 2 barrel idle on your 56 to 80’s V8 or Super Slant Six from 77 and up there is hope. Many times you will find loose throttle shafts on even rebuilt or re-manufactured carbs where they skip over this critical step.

You will be much closer to having that Plymouth (or Dodge/ Chrysler) with the small V8 or Super Six a happy camper…….one without a shaky throttle shaft that used to give you the shakes!

ps: reamer and bushings cost less than $50 and will do 4 carbs before you have to buy more bushings….how many BBD Plymouth (or Dodge) Carbs do you have?

pss: reamer is available for your use; can be picked up at a regularly scheduled region meeting
