Tracking May 2017 Meet is half a dozen pictures of the Colonial Region Meeting on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Thompson Speedway as arranged by Bruce Nichols.

Everyone was lined up at the staging area by 9:00 :

We were soon unloading gear in the grassy area with other cars joining in over time:

Cameras were at work from both Region members, track owners, and occasional passerby.

The ratio of trucks to cars was unusual; higher percentage of trucks than at our normal meets….including a truck convertible!!

The air was chilly in the morning but turned up to 71 degrees on a crisp clear day which triggered some gulping of water before moving to the lunch are for our choice of hamburg or chicken sandwich with fries.

After lunch it was time to hit the track so the crew got ready to roll:

Reminds us of the loops made at Indy at one of the National Meets; maybe another chance to do those loops soon on the horizon?

There were plenty of pictures taken and I’m suspecting Thompson Speedway may be posting a few of their own of the day’s events. Thompson Speedway also handed a plaque to Jim for his well restored Plymouth truck which they felt was the top dog at their meet.
