The club gathering at the Waters Farm Days Fall Festival and Car Show sounds like it was a perfect way to spend a beautiful fall day. Check out the nice pictures and great write up on our web site submitted by Don Palmer. That is always such a fun day.
This being an odd year means we will have election of officers at the December meeting. I have asked Vince Ruops to be nomination chairman. If you have a suggestion for an office, please let him know. If you wish to run for an office- that is great and please let Vince know. All positions are up for election.
On the same note, Bruce Nichols has been sending out the newsletter all year. He has done a great job, but would like a break. Would you consider volunteering? It involves downloading pieces off the web site, copying them and mailing them to our 10 members who do not have internet service. Please let me know if you are interested or have questions.
To improve our paper newsletter, we would like to include” for sale” items. ( cars, parts,etc). They can be posted on our web site for a 3 month duration. Just send the info to Don Palmer along with a picture if available. We have one member who wants to sell his car and as soon as we receive the details, it will be posted. We hope to add it to the newsletter.
Our next meeting will be on Sunday, November 12 at Wright’s Chicken Farm Restaurant in Harrisville,RI. We will meet in the back parking lot at 12:noon. Dinner will be at 12:30. Reservations are required. Call Vince Ruops at 860-872-0777 if you are coming . This is a family style restaurant, all you can eat. Address: 84 Inman Rd.
And—— Please put on your calendar ;;;; Sunday December 3, noon to 4pm. That will be our annual Christmas meeting and gift swap at the Palmer’s home in Tolland, CT. More details to follow .
