Some pictures taken along the Region October 2020 Meet Tour:
Region Oct 2020 Meeting Place was at the New Salem General Store at the North End of Quabbin Reservoir.
The General Store was also the post office for the small historic town. Region Members practiced Covid-19 guidelines while waiting for curbside delivery of ordered lunch items. Hot homemade clam chowder, roast beef sandwich, and homemade brownies headed in our direction!
Tom Dorward bright, shiny 47 added more beauty to the tranquil scene.
The New Salem Green lived up to the character of the historic town which included the pictured pair of steeples. Leaves had started falling. The Crookes added fresh, hot Apple pie for good measure to all’s taste buds.
A long walk from the green was this view overlooking the Quabbin Reservoir with brightly colored trees in every direction.
Take a side road off the road encircling the upper part of the reservoir and who knows what you will discover!
Looks beautiful! Sorry we missed it!
It was a picture perfect day and I forgot the good camera!: had to use the telephone to capture images instead.
The latest Ply. National Bulletin has a picture of your 65 in it (overlooking the reservoir of course).
Even today looks good enough to take the 35 truck out for a spin and pick up the Christmas Tree…..got to exercise the old and apply one of the laws of physics…..a body in motion tends to stay in motion.
