PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Happy St. Patrick’s day to the lot of yee. It’s really exciting to have spring so close, but don’t you hate the switchbacks from winter to spring and back ! Hope you all survived the long, cold winter. It’s time to think about getting those vintage cars ready for the driving season. Most of us are getting nervous about gas prices. Some of our prize vehicles are not particularly good on gas mileage. I hope it won’t interfere with our tours. Please speak up if you have concerns. Our club is a geographical challenge.
A few days ago I emailed a flyer and invitation to join the P15 club for their annual picnic and tour . The tour is to New Hampshire this summer. It includes all POC members, no matter what model Chrysler, Dodge, Desoto, or Plymouth you have, even modified. They all drive their antiques to these tours. They DO need your RSVP if you plan to attend. Much preparation is necessary and they usually get a good group.
Our club is still looking for someone to take the SunTester . Questions? Contact Don Palmer.
If you have a story about your antique, Don would love to post it and maybe we could add it to the newsletter. Sometimes if people have a question about the car, Don will write a tech article to answer the question(if it is something he is familiar with).
Jane Palmer has put together a day trip for the Sunday after Easter, April 24th . (last Sunday of the month). Save the date. It is a tour to Mt. Tom State Reservation in Holyoke, MA off I-91 in western mass. More details in April.
We still need a business/planning meeting and will try to find a place for that. A Centrally located restaurant or hall where we could have catered lunch might be good. Anyone willing to scope that out? Call or email me.
Rich Michniewicz is slowly recovering from his accident. He is still on rehab and just started driving. He is looking at a car from the 60s, but no decision yet. People have been calling him about 40s parts but the car has been junked and no parts are available.
Sorry. Judy
Hi friends at Plymouth club.
This is Steve and Linda Reynolds letting you know we are still alive and well.
We miss you all and especially the great meets we did together.
Linda still has physical chalanges that keep her from getting ready to leave home early .
Our love to all.
Good to hear from you. Hope Linda sees improvement over time. Last I knew you had a mid 60’s Cuda…..I traveled with one in our group recently the length of Rt. 66 right onto the pier in S. Monica.
