Don Whitman provided security at times for the Region cars in attendance:

The oldest Plymouth at the Hancock Event appeared to be the super clean, dark black, 50 Fastback that looked almost stock from the outside (except for the lake pipes & chrome wheels) but once the hood was raised more evidence of a hot rodder at work jumped out & grabbed your eyes:

Close by catching your eye was the 61 Belvedere with it’s original light color patina in sharp contrast to the 50:

My eyes went to the accessory tray supporting Burger, fries, drink, etc:

Further down the line was a stock looking 66 Belvedere (until you looked under the hood & saw the monster 440 with 6 barrel carb. The owner reported 9 mpg from the Dana equipped Plymouth helped which break the wide tires when needed:

I suspect  that if THE JUDGE was looking to name Closest Best Original Plymouth it would have been Don Whitmans 54 parked wisely under the tree to protect from the bright sun at times or the mist at times (if you want the weather to change that day you only had to wait a few minutes from one to the other):

I’m thinking THE JUDGE would have had a tough time for second in that category with the patina of the 61 pitted against the great re-paint of the 68 Cuda. Rarest would likely go to the 68 340S so the 61 would likely be handed the 2nd for original?:

This event is a great yearly early fall event in the Berkshires to catch mother nature hanging on to the last of the summer greens & high density foliage while viewing cars from multiple states.
