PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
This message is coming to you early again. Our meetings are off schedule and very hard to plan. You all should have received a copy of the minutes from the August meeting and a copy of the poster for the car show on September 12 or 13. Since we like to have an occasional car event, the members at the meeting decided to use the car show as a chance to get together again outdoors. We are all disturbed by the jump in Covid cases and the likelihood of re-imposed restrictions. Many of us are not comfortable with indoor events yet. I can e-mail everyone if the show is delayed until Sunday or cancelled because of rain. Members can meet here at the Whitman house by 10am on Saturday and caravan the ½ mile together. That way we get to park together. It’s a nice area and food will be available safely. Any questions, call or email me at 413-738-5322 (gvebigman@gmail.com)
I realize many of you live a significant distance from our activities , so you don’t want to spend the day traveling. We are in the same boat, since we live 4 miles from the NY border. Don’t feel you can’t come because you don’t want to drive your antique that far. Bring the everyday car with air conditioning. This will be one of the few events that we can drive our antique to.
I hope the weather cooperates.
It was really nice to have our new members at the August meeting in Forest Park. Larry is still looking for the right car.
We have several members who are dealing with major health problems. We send them our get well, hang-in-there and have faith wishes.
Don Palmer is always looking for new stuff for the web site. It needs to be car related, otherwise most anything. He loves pictures of your cars and stories to go with them.
