Happy May Day. Today is a gorgeous day and hopefully a sample of days to come.
Our April meet turned out to be quite nice for April. Cool , but tolerable for hardy Plymouth club members. There were 10 members, and 1 classic car ( the Palmer’s ’65 Dodge Dart). Driving through Mt. Tom State Park reminded me of driving through Forest Park in Springfield. It’s quite good sized with a viewing tower at the top. Don Palmer has put pictures and a write up on the club web site. Thanks to Don and Jane for scouting out this nice park.
It looks like the Colonial Region may have 4 cars joining the P15 tour in September. Not sure if anyone is doing the complete tour.
Our May meeting will be a little different. We have planned a luncheon meeting at 12:30 on Sunday May 22 at the Woodstock, Ct. Volunteer Fire Assoc in their function room. The meal will be provided and will be buffet style. We will probably offer the Fire Dept a donation. Address is; 399 Norwich Worcester Turnpike, Conn. Rte 169. If you have some interesting car things, magazines ,pictures, or what not, bring them to display. After lunch, we will have a meeting to plan the year . There will still be time after the meeting to explore Woodstock and Jim Dunlea will suggest places to see. WE MUST HAVE RSVP FOR NUMBER ATTENDING TO SUPPLY THE CORRECT AMOUT OF FOOD. Call- Judy Whitman or email. BY MAY 16
Info on the bottom of this page. The Palmers will be away.
Don’t forget to read the minutes, it’s been awhile since we had any.
I am also attaching a flyer for the May car show in Hancock, Ma. If you have any car shows or cruises the club might like to attend, bring the info. Don Palmer will also post them on our web site. That site is costing the club $450 annually so we had better be using it.
