Welcome to Summer!
Boy, is summer here big time !!!!! Not my favorite kind of weather.
This newsletter is coming out early because the August meet is earlier than normal. I wanted to give everyone the information now. This sounds like a really unique meet. ( Many different kinds of vehicles.) There will be no formal meeting. I have attached the details separately to make it easier for you, and they are also on the club web site.
Jane Palmer has set this up with a nice lunch spot first, then a short drive to the museum. You may choose to do both or just one. Reservations are for lunch, but Jane would like to know if you are meeting us at the museum. This is a special date because the buildings are not open regularly.
In other news; The club has no other meetings scheduled at this time. If anyone has suggestions , Jane or I would like to hear from you. We have some ideas, but many would be more enjoyable in cooler weather.
The Hancock Volunteer Fire Dept is planning another car show in September , also the P15 tour is in September, The Waters Farm is having it’s Annual Bruce Nichols Memorial Car Show in October , and we are still thinking about the Woodstock, CT meeting. Something different would be nice . There are many members in the eastern part of the state if someone could plan something in that area.
Food for thought : Are 5 couples enough to maintain a car club ? Are you interested in a virtual club only ? Is it possible to keep interest without meetings ?
The club enjoys and welcomes muscle cars , modified, and newer vehicles and not only Plymouths. So how do we attract those car owners to the club and meetings ? Be frank — give us your thoughts please.
